Reading Patterns

The “F” Pattern
The heat maps show viewers eye-tracking patterns (Nielson Norman Group research.) Although still the most used pattern for content hierarchy, there are several other, more modern, patterns being used.
  • The most important information is at the top.
  • Uses a traditional hierarchy with headlines, subheads, and bullet points.
